The Japan Convention Management Association (JCMA) held its inaugural meeting and reception to celebrate its establishment at Toranomon Hills Forum in Tokyo on Thursday, June 4, 2015.
JCMA was formed by a consolidation-type merger between the Japan Association of Professional Congress Organizers (JAPCO) and Convention Planners Association of Japan (CPA), and is the largest convention business association in Japan.
The commemorative reception welcomed more than 500 guests, including representatives from the Japan Tourism Agency, Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), related ministries and agencies, MICE-related organizations and industry, who gathered together to celebrate the launch of the new JCMA.
JCMA, under its motto of “whenever people gather, the world moves forward, is committed to striving to further develop and strengthen our industry in Japan, in order to enhance Japan’s international competitiveness in the convention/event domain.
