The 10th Plenary of IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) WG II and 38th Session of the IPCC officially opened today in Yokohama. Congress Corporation is providing support for the meeting’s operations, through March 30th.

Japan is hosting this Plenary for the first time, which gathers together representatives from governments of over 100 countries along with researchers and scholars, for a total of approximately 500 attendees. They will deliberate the effects of global warming and adaptive countermeasures over the next 6 days. The latest report is expected to be announced on March 31.

Congress Corporation is responsible for all of the operational aspects of the IPCC, including set-up, transportation and security. As the world watches, we are putting forth our best efforts to ensure the success of this timely and meaningful conference.
