Congress Corporation assisted the Australian Embassy Tokyo and the Australian Treasury in their successful organization of the recent “G20 International Tax Symposium”

Congress Corporation assisted the Australian Embassy Tokyo and the Australian Treasury in their successful organization of the recent “G20 International Tax Symposium” held in Tokyo on May 9 and 10 at the Tokyo Prince Hotel and the Prince Park Tower Tokyo.

7 panel sessions addressed various international tax issues, and at times passionate discussion took place between the expert panelists who ranged from tax specialists of international organizations to executives from multinational accounting/consulting firms, offering perspectives from diverse countries and tax environments around the world.

Facilitating the discussion were the two moderators, Ellen M. Fanning, noted Australian journalist and Indonesian T.V. journalist, Frida Lidwina.
Thanks to their engaging style, asking challenging questions of the panelists based on solid homework and spending more time off the podium than on, moving among the audience to proactively stimulate questions and interaction between panelists and the audience, the symposium proved to be both exciting and beneficial, well-received by all those who attended.

  • Active interaction between the audience and panelists during the symposium’s stimulating debate.
  • The moderators proactively engaged the panelists with challenging questions.
