"Japan Drone 2025" Produced by Congrès Inc. Attracts 23,000 Attendees
The international exhibition and conference for the consumer and commercial drone industry, Japan Drone 2025, together with the concurrently held International Advanced Air Mobility Expo 2025, - organized by the Japan UAS Industrial Development Association (JUIDA; headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President: SUZUKI Shinji) and co-organized by Congrès Inc. - was successfully held at Makuhari Messe in June 2025, attracting some 23,000 attendees.
This year marked the 10th edition of Japan Drone since its inaugural event in 2016. Established, to advance the drone industry and promote international technological exchange, it serves as a forum for drone-related industries - including many start-up companies - to engage in practical business negotiations, while steadly expanding in scale alongside the industry's growth.
With Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan already underway and set to feature demonstrations of e-VTOL (flying cars), the 2025 edition of the event attracted wide media attention.

With the theme "Drones at Work - Drone Applications Expected Across Industries," this year's event featured extensive exhibits of large drones and eVTOLs (flying cars), as well as lectures by key figures from Japan and abroad who are leading the next generation of air mobility.

In addition to conventional drone companies such as Terra Labo Co., Ltd., the exhibitors lineup featured a significant presence from the IT and telecommunications sectors - including GMO Internet Group, NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS, INC., SoftBank Corp. - as well as participants from overseas, bringing the total to a record 285 exhibitors.

Opening Ceremony
At the opening ceremony, SUZUKI Shinji, president of the Japan UAS Industrial Development Association (JUIDA), delivered the opening remarks, and other guests such as TANAKA Kazunori, member of the House of Representatives, offered their remarks.


Concurrent Event
The organizer's themed exhibition zone, titled "Drones at Work / Next Generation Air Mobility - The Challenge of Social Implementation," featured exhibits and roadmaps from government ministries and agencies, regional authorities, domestic companies - including major international-route airlines - overseas firms, and other organizations engaged in initiatives aimed at real-world implementation of drones and flying cars (e-VTOL).

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Japan Drone, which was first held in 2016 to advance the drone industry and promote international technological exchange. To commemorate this milestone, a special exhibition corner was set up.


International Conference - All Sessions Free of Charge
To promote the social implementation of drones, the realization of beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations, and the development of manned flying-car flights, the conference featured 29 sessions, including keynote speeches, special lectures, the Mobility Professional Seminar, and the Exhibitor Conference. In celebration of the 10th anniversary, all sessions were offered free of charge this year.


The next edition, The 11th Japan Drone 2026 / The 5th International Advanced Air Mobility Expo 2026 , is scheduled to be held from Wednesday, June 3 to Friday, June 5, 2026, at Makuhari Messe.
