On Thursday, July 12, the Japan Convention Management Association (JCMA) organized the “JAPAN/TAIWAN MICE Business meeting 2018 in Tokyo” at the Taiwan Cultural Center, Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan.

At the start of the event, a signing ceremony took place for the MOU concluded between Taiwan Exhibition and Convention Association (TECA) & Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and JCMA.

Then, the business meeting kicked off with a panel discussion entitled “The future of MICE in Taiwan and Japan.” Congress Corporation’s President, Noriko Takeuchi, who is also the Chief Executive Director of JCMA, served as a panelist. The networking session featured presentations by 10 organizations from Taiwan, and over all, the Business Meeting was enthusiastically received by the large audience of representatives from both Japan and Taiwan.

In the future, we will continue to proactively strengthen our relationships with various overseas organizations, support JCMA members’ activities, expand our global knowledge and utilize this to best advantage in order to drive forward MICE industry activities.
