The Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction was convened in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture from March 14 to 18, 2015. Congress Corporation was appointed by Sendai City to operate the Volunteer Secretariat, which involved interviewing, training and on-site management of volunteers. The conference ended successfully.

During the 7 days from March 13 to 19, 350 volunteers actively contributed to the operation of the conference in various roles.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the volunteers, who dedicated themselves to supporting the operations behind the scenes, which led to the great success of this major international conference, one of the largest to be held in Japan.
