Okinawa Prefecture is currently conducting the Okinawa MICE Project 2012, aimed at promoting local MICE activity. The project’s main event, the Okinawa Contents Roadshow, took place recently and culminated in the Okinawa MICE Contents Contest. Okinawa Congress Corporation won awards in two of the four categories: Conference Management and Reception Organization.

The roadshow, a trade fair showcasing Okinawa’s MICE offerings to invited industry guests from Japan and abroad, is now in its fifth year. It features exhibits by some 40 Okinawan companies and organizations. Okinawa Congress Corporation displayed its achievements in organizing conferences and receptions incorporating unique cultural elements from Okinawa, and succeeded in winning awards in the above two categories.
