The Opening Ceremony was hosted by Numazu City, followed by the inaugural event, “Great East Japan Earthquake Disaster Charity Event,” an official Numazu City 90th Anniversary Commemorative Event to support restoration efforts. The atmosphere was lively with many visitors enjoying the stalls offering food, drinks, local products and souvenirs.
Exhibition facilities launched today, known as “Kira Messe Numazu” are comprised of a 3,900m2 pillar-free multi-purpose exhibition hall, the Civic Salon equipped with a kitchen and the Civic Gallery, a space where it’s easy to set up artwork exhibits or conduct presentations. There are also 2 meeting rooms in the building.
Next summer, the conference center portion of the complex is scheduled to open, featuring a large convention hall that holds 1,100 people, a medium-sized 400-person capacity hall and 12 conference rooms of varying sizes. The hotel opening is also planned for summer, 2014.
Plaza Verde, in its superior location just outside the north entrance of Numazu Station, is a venue that can be used for myriad purposes. For inquiries and reservations for the conference and exhibition facilities, please feel free to contact us:
