2nd World Assembly for Women 2015 (WAW!2015) operated by Congress Corporation

WAW! is an international symposium for dialogue on empowering women in society, one of Prime Minister Abe’s areas of focus. The symposium was a great success, welcoming many participants on both days, at the public forum held on the first day (August 28) and high-level round table on the second day (August 29).

Many prominent global women leaders came to Japan to participate, including H.E. Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia, heads of international organizations including Ms. Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO and Mrs. Helen Clark, Administrator of the UNDP, along with representatives from global corporations including Ms.  Marillyn A. Hewson, the Chairman, President & CEO of Lockheed Martin and others.

Congress Corporation worked on preparations to support WAW2015! for approximately one and a half months starting in early July, providing our services in the areas of venue set-up/arrangements and meeting operations.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of the concerned organizations and companies who graciously cooperated and put forth great efforts for the success of this symposium.
